So you’ve decided that you would love to work with children and want to take a course, but you’re worried because you don’t have the time to commit to full time studies?

distance learning

Well don’t worry because there is always the home study option!

Learning child care at a time that’s best for you

These courses are perfect for anyone who has to juggle their other commitments and their studies, so you can study in your own time, in your own home and at your own pace, what could be better than that!

Some people worry that a home study course isn’t the same as when you take a course in a college or training centre, if this is you then please don’t even think about that. You will definitely receive an award at the end of your studies, it really does count you’re just completing your course in a different way, that’s all.

It doesn’t matter if you have absolutely no experience in childcare what so ever, there are great courses available for you to enrol with. You may be someone who has experience in childcare maybe you already work with children but want to take another course to broaden your horizons well there are courses for you too.

Whatever course you would like to take but thought they were only available in colleges or training centres well think again because the home study option offers the same courses, just with you choosing your own days and times!

Your course is delivered to you by mail or email and you will have your own tutor who you can contact via email for any help or advice you may need throughout your course. So you’re not on your own with your course, they are there to help you and once you complete an assignment you can send it to your tutor either via mail or email, where you will be marked and your tutor will send you back your results.

The length of your course will be determined by the pace you can study at, you can usually complete a course within a year maybe younger if a Diploma is involved.

How much do they cost?

Prices of courses vary depending on the course you want and who you’re enrolling with, it’s always beneficial to shop around before you enrol and make sure that once you complete your course you receive a certificate at the end (you may have to pay for this) and make sure the course is recognised by an awarding body for example CACHE.

CACHE is an awarding body in the UK and is recognised all over the world, your certificate will prove to potential employers and parents that you are more than capable to carry out your job with confidence.  So once you have that certificate in your hands the world really is your oyster! You can take it with you wherever you go.

Prices of courses can start at around £250.00 and can be as much as £3,000 this may seem a lot of money but you must remember that it’s for your future and you’ll be doing a job you will love, and when you’re earning a wage these figures will seem insignificant.

So that’s about it really all that’s left to do is choose your course, get your package and begin your studies all within the comfort of your home, even out the garden in the sun,  this really is the stress free way of studying and carrying on with your other commitments.

Let us now wish you the very best of luck with your child care studies and hopefully one day you’ll be doing the job you’ll love working with children and enjoying the fun that comes with it! Working with children really is rewarding and you’re going to love every minute.
